In the wake of COVID-19 and a global pandemic

Community is Everything

As events continue to be canceled nationwide and businesses opt to close their doors for the time being, we are aware of the impact this pandemic will have on people across the world and in our own community. We're here to help keep you posted on event changes, provide information on local business services, and MOR.

Explore MOR(e) While Staying In

Currently, we are  reminded of two things: what a blessing it is to live in this supportive community and what an honor it is to serve this community good news and important information.

In the coming weeks, we know how crucial it is for us to stand together (metaphorically, maybe not physically!). Small businesses are likely going to take a big hit. People are less likely to be out and about and are probably going to be reeling in their spending. While this is totally understandable and social distancing is responsible, we encourage you to continue to support  local small businesses in any way you can.

Businesses across our community are working hard to ensure your safety, and while it is encouraged to keep your distance from big groups of people, there are other ways to spend your money with small businesses today so that they will be around to serve us tomorrow.

Additional Information

This is a long form text area designed for your content that you can fill up with as many words as your heart desires. You can write articles, long mission statements, company policies, executive profiles, company awards/distinctions, office locations, shareholder reports, whitepapers, media mentions and other pieces of content that don’t fit into a shorter, more succinct space.

Staying Sane

Go for a walk

We don't need to be congregating in large groups or embracing basically anyone, but the great outdoors are still wide open with plenty of fresh air for everyone. Take a stroll around your neighborhood or a local park.

Yoga

A variety of local yoga instructors are offering small, private classes, the option to participate in live streams, or watch videos online. Visit arkyogagirl.com for free video classes and Griffin Power Yoga on Facebook to learn more about private classes and live videos.

Have a dance party

Yes, we are suggesting you dance around yourself, by yourself or with your kids or whoever is home. Decorate for a real party, break out the wine (for the adults of course) and ask Alexa to play Jill @ 99 dot 3, (or stream online) then turn it ALL THE WAY UP. It might be the middle of a week day and this is straight a scene from a movie, but use this time to goof off and fun with your loved ones.

Walk down memory lane

Many of us scroll social media way too often, but instead of scrolling through what other people are doing right now, how bout scrolling through your own posts from the past few years? Laugh at what you were willing to share with the whole world or the haircut you regretted. Comment on photos with old friends and reminisce on the good 'ole days.

View art

Local galleries are posting to social media and Art House in Downtown Jonesboro has setup a Virtual Art Gallery on their site where you can view and purchase from their current exhibition.
